Datang pagi ke kantor dan membuka kembali dokumen pendukung PhraseExpress lalu menemukan dokumentasi yang satu ini. Ketika bekerja di Mac, saya memiliki snippets ;ext yang secara otomatis ter-expand menjadi sebuah linklog post lengkap dengan YAML front-matternya karena web saya menggunakan Octopress. Serta berkat adanya dukungan dari AppleScript, semua parameter YAML front-matter seperti judul, url, dan kalimat yang akan dikutip langsung otomatis muncul ketika snippets tersebut diaktifkan. AppleScript secara otomatis mengambil URL dan Title dari tab Safari yang aktif.
Lain hal lagi ketika bekerja di Windows, saya menggunakan PhraseExpress untuk pengganti TextExpander. Snippets ;ext juga saya atur persis dengan snippets pada Mac. Perbedaannya adalah kini saya harus melakukan 3 kali copy untuk URL, Judul serta teks kutipan dan membuatnya menjadi variable di PhraseExpress terlebih dahulu sebelum mengetik snippet ;ext di teks editor. Meski belum sepenuhnya otomatis seperti ketika saya bekerja di Mac namun setidaknya kini saya tak perlu lagi bolak-balik teks editor-browser hanya untuk copy-paste judul, url ataupun teks kutipan.

I propose that, if we learned how to fully use what we already had better, such depth of knowledge and skill would have a far greater and more lasting impact. That, especially with those tools we use every day, getting better at them will reap the greatest reward. There is likely some feature or use-case that we don’t even realize we need until we know it and when we do we will be thankful we learned it.
Bagi para pengguna iOS yang belum melakukan update ke iOS 8.1.1 dan ingin melakukan jailbreak, kini bisa bernapas lega. Pasalnya versi iOS teranyar tersebut sudah bisa dijailbreak menggunakan tools yang dirilis oleh TaiG. Apple juga telah menutup signing window untuk iOS 8.1 yang artinya setiap pembaharuan yang dilakukan pengguna akan langsung menuju iOS versi 8.1.1. Tools dari TaiG sendiri banyak mendapat respon positif dari pengguna yang telah menggunakannya dan dianggap lebih stabil daripada tools milik Pangu.
